Access Control Systems

Tandem Security Supplies Installs Access Control Systems

Access control systems have become indispensible at security complexes and businesses alike and are gaining popularity at private residences too. Access control systems may take many forms; at a security complex, it may be a keypad-based system, card reader or remote controlled system. At businesses, the access control system may be linked to a card reader, or security personnel may operate the door or gate.

The Lattice proximity readers are a networked access control system with an emphasis on value for money. Head units are installed at entrances and coded tags are held close to the head unit to activate the system or open the door. Tags may be programmed into the system by using the Lattice software after linking the system to a computer. Alternatively, tags may be programmed into the system using the administration tag with the master controller.

The system may be operated as a “master” head in a network with up to 31 additional “slave” heads. Up to a thousand tags may be entered into the system, providing flexible access control in large buildings with hundreds of employees. It may also be operated as a standalone reader. Solo features include a 5-LED user interface and an anti-tamper switch facility. Lattice features include functional tags even in an offline situation and anti-tamper indication.

At Tandem Security, we have been access controls systems experts for years and we can assist you with any access control solution, whether it is a business solution as outlined above or something simpler like a home intercom system, electric fence, infrared beams and alarm system in a residential application.
