ENERGIZERS:
The energizer provides the electric fence with electricity.
The first step is to decide which energizer to use.
For short fences we can recommend the Rezist. It is cost
effective and will not spark over the insulators so easily.
If you need more power we recommend the following:
1. MAGNUM 8 JOULE ENERGIZER
This unit is high powered as well as extremely reliable.
- It is not sensitive to lightning and has a one year
warranty, which includes damage caused by electrical
storms.
- These units are real workhorses and are easily maintained.
The whole system is modular and can be repaired onsite.
The operating cost of a system is often overlooked
by clients. This as well as the installation cost
must be taken into account.
- Keypads are also available to control these units.
- It can also be reset by means of a remote and receiver.

For added protection a steel box can be fitted inside
the fence. The energizer as well as electronic monitoring equipment
like radio transmitters can be locked inside the box.
THE TWO MOST COMMON APPLICATIONS ARE WALL TOPS AND FREE
STANDING FENCES.
1. WALL TOP ELECTRIC FENCING
The same energizers are used. We make use of seven
line brackets. We manufacture ourown brackets to client’s
specifications. All brackets are properly powder coated.
2. FREE STANDING FENCES
The normal height is 1.8m. It can also be done in 2.1m
or 2.4 m.
The correct installation of electric fences apart from improving
aesthetics ensures your greater security.
- It reduces false alarms.
- It improves and strengthens the physical barrier
and sets off the built in alarm if the fence is cut
or tampered with.
- Ensures that the fence is electrified and the high
voltage will prevent any intrusion.
- If you are not at Home, the fence can be monitored
via your local armed response unit. This will serve
the purpose of a first line of defense.
- A strobe light can be fitted onto your house to
indicate that the alarm went off. This light will
keep on flashing until it is switched off.

1.CORNER POSTS
Made from 100 x 2400 mm round tubing. The tubing is sunk
and secured with concrete. Special methods are used for
different types of soil. The posts are supported by two
stays made from 48 mm round tubing. The steel wire is
connected to the posts using strain insulators and Donaldson
tentioners.
2.FREE STANDING FENCE
18 Stands of steel wire each 2.24 mm thick are mounted onto
Y standards, which are made from cast steel, coated with
bitumen. This ensures that you have a stable and sturdy
barrier. The Y standards are spaced at distances of not
more than 3 meters apart, ensuring that the tension on
the wire prevents an intruder from pulling them apart
to gain access to your property.
3.SLIDING GATE
The sliding gates are manufactured in- house with special
attention being given to the sliding action and security features
that ensure that the gate cannot be lifted or forced open
easily. The built in pedestrian gate is fitted with a lock.
The top section of the gate is electrified and this section
moves with the gate if it opens and closes. The gate itself
is not electrified and can be manually handled.
4.INTERCOM SYSTEM
Visitor access is gained via an intercom. It is mounted on
a gooseneck pole located at the front of the gate. Alternatively
a bell, not visible from the street may be placed on the inside
of the gate post. This gives you additional privacy allowing
ease of access to friends and relatives.
5.GATE MOTORS
Centurion or Gemini motors are used to open the gate. These
motors have a battery backup system allowing usage in the event
of a 220 volt power failure for up to three days. These motors
can be housed in theft resistant cages.
